### **What’s the deal between MoneyLion and Pathward?**

Glad you asked. Here’s how it works:

**Pathward®** is a federally chartered bank that MoneyLion partners with to bring you MoneyLion Spend. They’re the ones who actually **hold your funds** and issue your **MoneyLion Debit Mastercard®** and **MoneyLion Spend** **virtual card**. Think of them as the official bank behind the scenes.

**MoneyLion is not a bank**—we’re the service provider. That means we handle the app experience, the technology platform, marketing, and the **Customer Care team** that’s always here to help.

### **Why does my account show up as “Pathward” in other apps?**

If you connect your MoneyLion Spend account to a budgeting app or a digital wallet, don’t be surprised if it shows up as **Pathward** instead of MoneyLion or MoneyLion Spend.

That’s because **Pathward is the bank of record**—they hold your funds—so their name appears in those external systems. Totally normal.

But don’t worry, **MoneyLion is still your main point of contact** for anything related to your account.
