If you are a Credit Builder Plus member and you apply and are approved for a Credit Builder Loan, then, based on your creditworthiness and MoneyLion’s underwriting standards, you may receive your loan disbursement as follows:

1. Money that you may receive up-front, disbursed to an account of your choice; and

2. Money that we’ll save for you in a Credit Reserve Account while you pay off your loan.

The funds in your Credit Reserve Account will not only act as a security for your loan, but will help build your credit score by allowing you to make consistent repayments over the 12-month term of the loan.

Your Credit Reserve Account is an account maintained by MoneyLion’s SEC-registered investment adviser, ML Wealth LLC, and held by DriveWealth LLC, member SIPC and FINRA. The funds in this account will be placed into money market and/or cash sweep vehicles based on your risk preferences and investment objectives provided when you open the account, and may generate interest at prevailing market rates.

The Credit Reserve Account will be in your name, and you’ll be able to see it in the “Finances” tab of the MoneyLion app. Think of it like instant savings! When you pay off your full loan amount (which includes the amount given upfront, the amount placed in your Credit Reserve Account, and any interest accrued on the loan amount), you will be able to withdraw your money saved in the Credit Reserve Account.

It may take up to 10-14 days to receive the money from your Credit Reserve Account after you have initiated your final payment. If you have an active MoneyLion Spend account and debit card, we’ll disburse the funds to that account. If not, we’ll disburse the funds to the external checking account that you used for your loan payments.

You will not be able to access the funds in your Credit Reserve Account until you have paid off your Credit Builder Loan. You may, however, use it to pay off your loan in full if you choose. You may make this loan payment regardless of whether you are current on your Credit Builder Plus membership fees.

The Credit Reserve Account is not a transaction or trading account. If you default on your loan, your Credit Reserve Account may be liquidated to partially or fully pay off what you owe.

Note: The Credit Reserve Account is separate from a MoneyLion Investment Account. As a Credit Builder Plus member, you can get access to a MoneyLion Investment Account, which allows you to invest in a portfolio that is a mix of stock and bond ETFs depending on your risk appetite, and is managed by ML Wealth. The assets in your MoneyLion Investment Account are not used as security for your Credit Builder Loan. Credit Builder Plus membership ($19.99/mo) unlocks eligibility for Credit Builder Loans and other exclusive services. A soft credit pull will be conducted which has no impact to your credit score. Credit Builder Loans have an annual percentage rate (APR) ranging from 5.99% APR to 29.99% APR, are made by either exempt or state-licensed subsidiaries of MoneyLion Inc., and require a loan payment in addition to the membership payment. The Credit Builder Loan may, at lender’s discretion, require a portion of the loan proceeds to be deposited into a reserve account maintained by ML Wealth LLC and held by DriveWealth LLC, member SIPC and FINRA. The funds in this account will be placed into money market and/or cash sweep vehicles, and may generate interest at prevailing market rates. You will not be able to access the funds in your Credit Reserve Account until you have paid off your Credit Builder Plus loan. You may, however, use it to pay off your loan in full, if you choose. You may make this loan payment regardless of whether you are current on your Credit Builder Plus membership fees.

If you default on your loan, your credit reserve account may be liquidated by the lender to partially or fully satisfy your outstanding indebtedness. May not be available in all states.
